With an exotic bunch of organics including roasted dandelion root and native Tasmanian Mountain Pepperberry, blended with the elegant and (already four times distilled) 'The Splendid Gin', a delightfully refreshing and versatile tipple has been created.
Displaying high notes of citrus with an underlying herbal body of native pepper, earth and toffee. Pour it long with a handful of ice over apple, mint, strawberry and lemonade. Better still, bring out your inner 'sipster' and drink neat on the rocks.

The Splendid Gin Story
When two couples met on the East Coast of Tasmania, both living in historical properties once inhabited by the famous English writer Louisa Ann Meredith, there was a feeling this was more than coincidence.
Picturing a time in the rambling rose filled gardens, where the gin may well have flowed as freely as the natural Spring water passing right by it, the opportunity now seems obvious.
With a plump and zesty mandarin plucked fresh from the tree alongside rosmary and coriander straight from the herb garden, something splendid was about to happen. With the help of two more friends, it then took (more than) a pinch of the fabulously talented Nat Fryar (ex head wine maker of the famous Jansz sparkling) to blend the purest of Tasmanian spring water, a triple distilled grape spirit of the highest grade, a fourth distillation and...
The Splendid Gin was born.

A Delicious and Versatile Gin
By: Brandan Holt on 5 December 2022This Gin is one of my favourites I have tried in 2022, and one of my top ever. My partner and I visited Spring Vale in April 2022 and bought a bottle at the cellar door. We have thoroughly enjoyed having this "Summer Cup Gin" - it is really nice straight and it pairs well with Ginger Beer, Soda Water, Tonic, Lemonade and even with a nice iced tea. Coming up to Summer, it has definitely lived up to the name, with it being a refreshing beverage coming into a warm Summer here in Queensland. I would recommend this to everyone (even those who don't normally drink gin), it is so delicious and can be paired with so many different mixers.
